Why is this study being done:
The aim of this study is to investigate the effect and brain mechanism of combined acupuncture and tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation) treatment
How long it will take:
This study will take place over the course of 4 to 5 weeks. Treatment sessions will take place six times in total (two times per week for the first two weeks and one time per week for the last two weeks). The final session of the study will take place 1 to 6 days after the final treatment session.
Will I be paid to take part in this research study:
Subjects will be paid by check at the completion of the study for their participation. You will receive $30 for session 1, $60 for session 2, $20 for each of sessions 3 through 7, and $90 for session 8. A completion bonus of $100 will be paid to subjects who complete all 8 sessions of the study. Total payment is up to $380 for completion of the entire study.
